The Anna series of photographs is a color study. It celebrates color by exploring subtle tints and shades of one or several hues. The images were made during a housesitting weekend at the home of a close friend, Anna. They echo previous works by Lomax both in their abstract, minimalist style and intentional use of digital photography to study color. Inspired by the Color Field Movement of Abstract Expressionism, this series is its contemporary, photographic cousin. These images were born out of a love for color and a desire to study it through the lens of the camera.
